Laboratory Communication Overview |
||
| The communication with the laboratory must be
properly synchronized to get the best performance out of FertiSoft. You can ask the laboratory to transmit you the data
in a standard format that you supply to them or you can have our programmers to build an interface that will translate
the data received from the laboratory.
Today's and future technologies are moving to B2B (Business to Business) and this technology is using the XML data transfer protocol for communication between two different entities. FertiSoft default to using this standard, where all the good software developers will support in the future. So asking your laboratory to transmit using XML will be understood by FertiSoft. We will publish the XML templates for our data configuration. An example of XML format is as follow: <?xml version='1.0'?> If your laboratory can't change their system for any reason, we can adapt a translation interface between the laboratory computer's "language" and FertiSoft, so they "understand" each other. This is a small interface that our programmers will build and install at your location. The transmitted file must be in ASCII and transmitted directly or sent by email. One of our customer laboratory needs this kind on translation interface. Here is an example: BHS|^~`&|LSYSDLM|DLM|||000812| We can work with your laboratory to get the best results out of their transmission. Once the communication starts, the clinical staff in charge of results should verify transmission reports daily for any errors and communicate the error to the laboratory people for them to fix their database for erroneous IDs, names, dates of birth or any discrepancies between your database and theirs. |
