Cycle Check List tab

The cycle check list is used to store a patient's test results. It informs medical staff about readiness of a patient to start a new cycle and also about pending tests waiting to be done or results received. In this tab, you will find 6 sub-tabs folders. If you try to modify any of the data on this screen, you will receive an error message, you need to press the "Modify..." button to change the data on the tabs. Under the cycle check list tab and above the 6 sub-tabs are a series of boxes. These fields remain in sight as you move through the sub-tabs. They are related to this patient's NEXT planned cycle:

"Cycle:" is the NEXT cycle treatment description. It is a combo box containing values from the system table "Cycle Types". The number just to the right of this field is the cycle number for this type of treatment, like "IVF # 3".

"Month:" is the average date where the NEXT cycle will occur. Here the important data is the month rather then the day, so any date in the month will be fine. The number to the right of the date is the total number of cycles done by this patient to date.

"Stimul.:" is the suggested type of stimulation to be used within this cycle. It is a combo box that contains values from the system table "Stimulations".

"Satellite:" is the default satellite where the patient will go for blood works. It is a combo box that contains values from the system table "Satellites". This is the default value used when the medical staff create a new cycle day (See Cycle Results).

"Traffic light" button

The traffic light button is designed as a "flag" to be sure that all required testing is completed prior to a cycle start date.

If the light is red, it means that there are pending tests and that the patient may not be ready to start a new cycle. When the light is yellow, medical staff has not approved the patient to start a cycle. When the light is green, the patient is ready to begin a cycle. (See Pending Tests)

"Print" button

Clicking on this button (on the right side of the screen) will send a printed copy of the cycle check list to the printer. This is a shortcut to selecting the pull-down menu item: "Report" - "Patient Printouts" - "Detail Patient's Report" and then clicking on the "Cycle Check List" radio button. (See Reports). Clicking this button, the following dialog window will show:

"Modify..." button

By clicking on the modify button, the current screen turns to edit mode. In this mode, you can't navigate anymore in other parts of the chart. You have to "Save" your changes or "Cancel" before you can navigate again. The "Modify" button allows for changes to be made in the fields of sub-tabs labeled; "Tests", "Cultures" and "Misc.". The "Save" button will store data entered in these tabs; "Tests", "Cultures" and "Misc.". The other tabs have their own modify and save buttons. Information can be added to these fields as treatment progresses.

"Create..." button

This button will be highlighted only on patients that never had a check list before (new patient). Clicking on the create button will simply enable the checklist and save an empty cycle check list record in the patient chart.

Tests sub-tab

The "Prior Cycles" box is information on previous cycles. It can be entered manually or automatically by the creation of a new cycle notes sub-tab (See Cycle Notes). The information written there is: cycle type, number, stimulation and the month it was performed in the form of a date. The cycles are listed in chronological order with the most recent on top (if entered automatically). This is a free text box.

There are 2 other text boxes for diagnosis or miscellaneous information. These are also free text boxes with no limitation in length. In the "Tests" box, you have information on 3 types of tests. HSG with the date performed and the results of the test. Laparoscopy, date performed, results and a check box to define if a hysteroscopy has also been performed. Hysteroscopy, date performed and the results.

Cultures
sub-tab

This sub-tab page summarize the culture test results. The 5 tests are: genital, chlamydia, urea. myco., PAP smear and sperm cultures. Each of the tests has 2 results spaces, the test and the repeat with the date performed, negative / positive result, result description and treatment given. Think of this as "sticky notes", information should be kept current.
