Physician Notes tab

The doctor notes tab contains all the physician orders given for a patient entered via the physicians' order screen, accessed through the cycle results grid. It also contains manual notes entered in this tab. All the notes are listed chronologically with the most recent first. This is a browser that you can scroll down to see previous notes.

When you click on a line in the browser, the note content will be displayed in the text box to the right of the browser. The browser show the date and time the note was written and the physician username ID. The note itself is a free text message with no limit in length.

On the second Tab, the browser in the left is for listing of available scanned documents in the "Physician Notes" folder. Clicking on one of the document in the browser will display the scanned document to the right of the browser. The browser lists the documents by date of entry in the system with the most recent at the top.

You can scroll the document with the vertical scroll bar on the right of the window. If you click anywhere over the document with the right button on your mouse, you will get a small pull-down menu where you can choose from 4 choices; Zoom in, Zoom out, Reset or Print. "Zoom" in and out will make the document larger or smaller. This is useful is you can't clearly read what's on the document. Another way to zoom in the document is to click on the upper left corner of the area you want to magnify and hold the button while you drag the mouse to draw a square over this area. When the square covers the area you want, release the mouse button. The document will magnify only the portion inside the square. "Reset" will bring back to the normal size after a zoom operation. "Print" will simply send the document to the default printer setup in your computer.

"Add a Note" button

When you click on the "Add a Note" button, the following dialog window will open. You can enter your electronic signature password to activate the "Note:" text box. Only a physician's electronic signature will be accepted here. The note box is free text with unlimited length. When you are finished, click on the "Save" button to keep and store your note. If you click on the "Cancel" button, nothing will be saved and you will loose all your changes.
