Scanned documents tab

Opening the scanned document tab will present sub-tabs created from folders where the documents are stored. They are organized by categories and the storage locations are determined during the scan process. The available folders are listed in the system table "Folders". One of the sub-folders (Word) is used to store documents in RTF format (Microsoft Word). This format is more usable for word processing and has more features for writing letters to patients. Click "Here" for information on the "Word" sub-tab. (See Word Documents sub-tab)

The browser on the left side of the tab is for listing available scanned documents in the selected sub-tab document folder. Clicking on one of the documents in the browser will display the scanned document to the right of the browser. The browser lists the documents by date of entry in the system with the most recent on top.

You can scroll in the document with the vertical scroll bar on the right of the window. If you click anywhere over the document with the right button on your mouse, you will get a small pull-down menu where you can choose from 5 choices; Zoom in, Zoom out, Full Screen..., Reset or Print. "Zoom" in and out will make the document larger or smaller. This is useful if you can't clearly read what's in the document. Another way to zoom in the document is to click on the upper left corner of the area you want to magnify and hold the button while you drag the mouse to draw a square over this area. When the square covers the area you want, release the mouse button. The document will magnify only the portion inside the square.

The "Reset" option will bring back the displayed document to it's normal size after a zoom operation.

"Full..." button or "Full Screen..." sub-menu option

This option opens a full screen dialog window with the document. This view make it easier to work in the document. (See Full screen section).

The "Print" option will simply send the displayed document to the default printer installed on your computer. The following dialog will be displayed while the printing occurs. You can stop the printing by clicking the "Cancel" button.

The "Scan..." button

The "Scan..." button is enabled ONLY when you have a scanner connected to your computer AND that you have the rights to use the scanner, as configured in FertiSoft setup. (See Document Scanning).
