Screens, Views and Navigation

     Right after Login, this screen is displayed:
 


     On this Main  screen, you can click on the pull-down menu line on the upper left  (just over the buttons). Available choices are always dependant of your security level and some choices may be grayed out because you don't have permission to access these levels.
  • Under "File", you can open the patient chart screen (or click the "Patient Charts" button). You can also "Exit" the program.
  • Under Reports, You can choose to print reports that don't require a patient's chart to be open. When the patient chart is open, there is one more choice to the Reports pull-down Menu.
  • Under Tables, you can view or manage tables for the system.
  • Under System, you can manage Users and perform supervisor tasks. You can also change your password from this pull-down menu. When the patient charts are open, you can also change your electronic signature password.
  • Logout is for deactivation of your account in FertiSoft. If you don't do this when you leave the terminal, another person could use the software and perform tasks under YOUR name. Also, logout free the system for others to use.
     When a patient's chart is opened, you can navigate between the other charts in the database with the arrow buttons. On the search screen window, you can define the order of presentation of the records. There is 6 orders;
  • Patient's ID
  • Patient name
  • City
  • Zip Code
  • Phone number
  • Date of birth

     The navigation buttons will show patient records one by one from the first to the last according to this order.
 


     When a patient's chart is opened, the pull-down menu line now has a new choice: "Edit". This pull-down menu is related to navigation and edition in the active patient record.

     The tool bar (buttons on top), has 11 smaller buttons to act as shortcuts to menu choices. If you pass over the buttons with the mouse and leave the arrow over for a second without moving, the description will show up, this is called the tool tips. From left to right:

  1. Add a new patient.
  2. Open Patients.
  3. Print the screen content to the default printer.
  4. Refresh the current record from disk.
  5. Launch the search screen.
  6. Create a new cycle. (When in the good area)
  7. Create a new Semen Analysis. (When in the good area)
  8. Open the Administrative Reports window.
  9. Open the Patients Statistics Reports window.
  10. Open the Laboratory Reports window.
  11. Change your electronic signature password.
     Each patient record has TAB pages. These tabs are like folders that you flip by clicking on them with the mouse. It opens the different sections of the patient record. There is also a multitude of buttons on the pages, but their task is clearly identified with the label text on them. The sign directly to the left of the patient's name means that the patient is registered to use the Internet to retrieve her results and physician's orders.
